DELUXE SMITHS CHROME AND STEEL HORN LUG WRISTWATCH c 1952/3 In pretty average condition, with dial marks. Surprisingly most of the chrome plating is intact. Th movement is good with reasonable timekeeping and the coppery coloured balance which I believe was available to repairers as a replacement. I often fond the timekeeping is very hard to regulate with this type of balance, but this one has well spaced hairspring coils and is not a problem. Fitted with an original dimpled Smiths pattern winding crown and a specially cut edge acrylic crystal.
The case diameter is 31.1mm approximately, and has a steel clip on back. The top is hard chromed or steel and the central part of the body id soft chromed with polished and brushed detailing. The A104 is in the Smiths 1953 coronation catalogue as a chrome and still watch
