Smiths Early 12.15 horn lug chrome and stainless steel 1951 wristwatch serviced.
Nice original example of the classic plain looking 12.15. This very original example even includes the Smiths winding crown. There is not much wear on the coating. It is fitted with a special cut edge crystal which locks into the bezel. The diameter excluding the crown is 31mm. The length tip to tip of the lugs is approximately 40mm. It has a Bio Comfort ZRC 519 Croc/Alligator strap.
The movement keeps quite good time for an old watch. There is a movement number C62670 although as the case is ming ware there is no case number. Ming ware supplied may of the early Smiths cases and were eventually amalgamated into Smiths.
The watch comes with our usual 2 year warranty, and accidents excluded should give many years service. It also comes with our usual presentation box and adverts from the period.
A really good example of an english vintage watch from the early post war period.
