I bought this fairly well, and it cleaned up a lot better than the original condition would leave me to believe. Its quite presentable now, and benefits from a new crystal, crown and ZRC alligator style leather strap. Case width is 32.9.
Gold plating is pretty good, with a little wear round the edges. There are a few marks on the case back retaining ring, which is plated not steel. Dates to around the 55/58 era just prior to shock-proofing being introduced on the full range of gents watches.
The hands appear to be off an Antarctic model, I’m not sure whether they should be on one of these or not. Model AB377 dustproof. Keeps good time with a nice crisp movement.
